FAMILIES reduces barriers to mental health &/or addiction treatment for a loved one through peer family support, education, systems navigation and advocacy in Prince George and B.C. Northern Interior communities. We offer professional training, participation in planning, and evaluation of services and families as partners in treatment. FAMILIES was trademarked in 2013.

Area Manager for FAMILIES. Our team is here to support you in a number ways to help with a loved one who has a mental illness and/or addiction. Our newsletters contain a complete listing of all the programs and support we offer. And we have articles to inspire and inform you because we want you to know you are not alone.
Strengthening Families Together
Provides education and support to families who have a loved one with a mental illness. Families meet once a week for 10 weeks to learn positive coping strategies and to receive support. Courses available 2018 in Prince George and Lakes District. Click on EDUCATION in our menu for the SFT program near you.
Supporting Kids in Omineca/Lakes District
Check out Puppet Play & Puppet Talk for grades 1 to 6, which helps explain mental illness. Kids In Control is also an educational support group for children ages 8 to 12 who have a parent or sibling living with a mental illness.
