The Family Alliance on Mental Illness – Leaders in Involvement, Empowerment & Support (FAMILIES) serves Prince George and the northern interior of British Columbia, Canada. FAMILIES was trademarked in 2013 to reduce barriers and create more accessible possibilities for peer family support, education, systems navigation and advocacy in rural and remote communities. FAMILIES also creates more possibilities for professional training to meet the needs of families, family participation in planning and evaluation of services and families as partners in mental illness treatment.

Education & Support

We provide free education and training to ALL individuals and their families living with any type of mental illness in northern B.C. including schizophrenia, bi-polar disorder, depression and anxiety disorders.
